Most countries along the Belt and Road are in the early stage of industrialization.Their industrial base is not solid. Over-relying on resources keeps them in a relatively backward position in the world economic system.

To reach industrialization, these countries need more power. They need 1.2 trillion cubic meters of natural gas and 5.4 trillion kwh of electricity. The vision and mission of the Belt and Road Initiative is to help countries along the route to achieve industrialization through international production capacity cooperation.

要发展工业，就离不开能源。“一带一路”沿线国家天然气缺口达到12366.68亿立方米，还需要电能54982.52亿度。帮助沿线国家实现工业化，加强国际产能合作，也是“一带一路”倡议的愿景和使命。
